It really was love at first sight. I had spent a good bit of the day driving around town, looking at uninteresting bikes, trying to track down a Royal Enfield. Something about the classic styling called out to me, and I was driven to find my Siren.
I was not expecting to fall in love with a Ducati. I made up my mind the moment I saw her. I’m signing paperwork on the first new vehicle I’ve ever owned. Everything up until now has been used, or out of a junkyard, and always a fixer upper.
With the keys finally in hand, I rushed home to get my gear together. My little brother drove me back to the dealership so I could take my bike home. I had some friends meet up with me at Humble Pie for dinner, excited to show them the newest addition to my family.
My mind was racing, thinking about where I should go for our first adventure. I knew I wasn’t going to be getting much sleep tonight.
