Growing up, our family would come to this place quite often. This campground used to be one of those tucked away hidden gems that you’d simply drive right past if you didn’t know it was there. As with all treasures, it eventually gets found, given enough time.
The dirt road coming in isn’t too rough, but very narrow. It’s not uncommon to see minivans and passenger cars making quick work of it. The opportunities for this campsite are endless: incredibly challenging hiking, rock climbing, fishing, swimming holes, and a creek that runs right through your campsite.
This is the first time my brother and I went camping together as adults, and it turned out to be a very mild, easygoing trip that set the precedence for future trips. We seem to share a penchant for taking it easy.
